"Children in the City
WE EXPLORED SPACES for children’s learning and playing in the heart of London’s Bethnal Green. Drawing inspiration from our visit to the Little Forest Folk forest nursery, and precedent children’s nurseries from around the world, the students explored blurring boundaries between internal and external space, and how materiality can impact on experience.
The design projects evolved through thorough research, model-making to explore elemental building components, and explorative drawings methods that question and explore the physical and pedagogical relations of learning, playing, and creating spaces in the city for children."
