CHIQUE BOUTIQUE

A clinical space for selling and making of perfume. Themed around the laboratory qualities of the ‘Breaking Bad’ TV series and requiring an underground laboratory. The challenge of achieving adequate daylight below ground is resolved using a glass pavilion at ground level, providing light to the laboratory but also hinting at the secretive activities below. A reflective pool around the pavilion provides tranquility in the busy scene of Peckham, and a calming entrance to the perfume shop pavilion, intended to also be a clinical atmosphere enhanced by the laboratory-style branded perfume bottles.
