CANDLE MAKER'S WORKSHOP

A space for a Peckham local beeswax candle maker to sell products as well as a workspace to develop and teach the craft. The proposal focuses on the lighting within the building, as well as on the source of wax for the workshop; bees. The entire ground floor candle shop is lit up solely by light entering through the cut-out skylight filtered through the large hanging candle chandelier that is centred in the room. The top floor serves as a beacon, bringing all the light into the building, whilst emitting light from the building at night through frosted glass panelling.
