XRETREAT

XRetreat (Extinction Rebellion) aims to integrate the public + XR members to introduce their demands, previous achievements + plans to tackle climate change using their non-violent approach. Based on real life events and XR’s efforts to hide equipment used for protesting in physical spaces in Central London, XRetreat presents itself as a museum aiming to soften their reputation… for now. The museum features a workshop space encouraging the visitors, by stealth, to make, treat or even create the next extinction rebellion protest equipment. The site allows XR to use their ‘back door' escape route via the river.
