This proposal will increase the number of flats in existing tower blocks while also building new residential blocks to help address the housing shortage and rising demand. It will serve as a significant step forward in the Abbey Wood Opportunity Area’s expected exponential growth. The community center’s mission is to revitalise the neighborhood’s sense of belonging. Allow community members to interact with one another and provide a space for young adults to use after school or during vacations. Along with cultivating a positive personality and instilling a sense of self-identity and ownership. The Public Realm will serve as a gathering place for the community. A playspace for young children, a basketball court, water features, green spaces around cafes and food spaces for outdoor eating and drinking, and a green corridor connecting the school and the site for cyclists will all be included in the public space. Additionally, residents will be able to enjoy outdoor activities by sitting on outdoor benches in front of their homes. In addition to tree planting, to create a pleasant sense of enclosure and pedestrian comfort.
