The choice of materials was based on the personalities of the two main characters in Phantom of the Opera, with white concrete and black rock chosen to highlight the opposing personalities of the characters.

Lockdown has seen the mainstreaming of online social interaction and the trend is continuing to make this communication easier, but the human connection is becoming thinner and many of the offline venues in Lockdown have been closed, including the famous Her Majesty's Theatre. My project is therefore based on the work of the Phantom of the Opera and has evolved into a new type of open interactive theatre, using the natural landscape of the site as structural inspiration to design the space as a continuous sonic experience, allowing audiences to reconnect with each other by participating in a musical journey.
