This project proposes the relocation of East Street Market - an open-air market into Walworth Town Hall - creating an indoor market space that provides shelter to the vendors of East Street market. This programme includes an indoor market, a cafe, a gallery space, and a private office for building's management. Located in a residential area, Walworth Community Market is a socially driven project that seeks to propose solutions to the existing market's facility-related issues and provide an indoor market space that protects against the harsh weather allowing for full trade year-round, while attracting new local and non-local visitors to Walworth Market.
