THE HOUSE FOR JAMES TURRELL

James Turrell is an artist who uses light as his medium. In his art pieces he explores how natural light can enter a space and also uses light to draw the audience's attention to a place which would normally be ignored. For my project I wanted to capture his artwork on the exterior of the building so that whenever someone would walk past it they would be drawn towards his art work. I took inspiration from one of his art pieces where he uses a staircase to lead up towards a hole in the ceiling where people could walk up and enjoy the light. So from this, I took this stair case that James Turrell created, and surrounded the main house with these 2 staircases making it look as if his house was surrounded by his artwork
