THE LIVING PLASTIC

My proposal is a Bioplastic laboratory that uses potato peels collected from the local community to create biodegradable and eco-friendly food packaging. It seeks to help the community of Peckham to become more sustainable and also provide education and job opportunities. The building invites the local public into the laboratory, showing them the step by step process of how the packaging is made. The proposal also provides social spaces where people can meet and interact with each other such as the generous entrance staircase that allows people to sit down and relax, and the open rooftop area.
