PECKHAM EDUCATIONAL AND RECYCLING CENTRE

This sustainable recycling and educational centre recycles plastic bottles into clothes. Plastic is used in the factory not only as a raw material but as a building material. Huge polycarbonate panels line the face of the building with pre used plastic bottles sealed in-between them creating artwork walls and diffusing light. The cantilever building creates a dramatic entrance as visitors enter-through a rising escalator adjacent to the raw plastics. An imposing viewing platform gives visitors a sensory and educational experience.
