WET+WILD+FARM CO-EXISTING

The Wet+Wild+Farm Co-Existing creates new environment for recreation, education and habitat. The wild park helps support vibrant ecosystem, tidal ecology, generate cleaner air and water, and strengthen connectivity within the neighbourhood. The area has been envisioned as a type of eco-park which domesticated wild animals by inviting them to populate highly industrial and residential area. Following the example of red fox that has become a resident of the city, the aim of the centre is to encourage people to coexist with wild and farm animals. The place is divided into 3 most important zones: Eco-Restoration, Education and Petting. Some of them are strictly only for wild animals and other parts are open for human and promote human-animal interaction. Wetland areas support 40% of wildlife in the UK. Due to agricultural practices and development 90% of the wetlands have been lost. The centre promotes natural process of regeneration of the wilderness and aims to reinvite the long absent animals such as water voles, bats and other. It will be supported only if ways can be found for such species to coexist harmoniously with the existing residential and industrial environment.
