PICADILLY PROMISE

The main consensus of the project after thorough environmental and social research and analysation is to eradicte the most common issues of the area, by proposing a general conceptual design over the entirety of picadilly circus (at first), then to manipulate the design to be able to create an interior-exterior facade that showcased similar solutions to the latter. The general gravity of the problems picadilly was facing stemmed from the over-congested roads and paths, thus inspiring the initial concept of an overarching pedestrian walk bridge over the center of the circus (shown in the sketches), to then manipulating the shape of the bridge to create a little tunnel effect coming in and out of the store, whilst still with-holding the main idea of alleviating the pedestrian factor of the traffic and giving them another platform.
