MArch Architecture

My design is about reducing household electricity consumption and energy Inequality through natural ventilation systems. We could find that summer is getting hot. But our energy production and distribution are unbalanced, and the electricity consumption per household also unbalanced. At the same time, The UK has many older houses with cavity brick walls, which are easily able to absorb heat from outside. So I try to create a natural ventilation system façade for this kind of household to reducing household electricity and fuel. The architectural prototype draws on the English tradition of the oast house. New spaces are created through this combination of units. The chimney effect is also used to cool the building by circulating the air through passive ventilation. At the same time, I also collect the clay. Clay is a highly malleable material with good heat absorption and insulation properties, when cities are built, the large amount of waste soil produced during reclamation can go unnoticed. For this project, I wanted to create a new form of architecture by collecting the waste soil and making units out of it. To preserve the traditional architecture of the site and at the same time make it advance towards net-zero.
