INSPIRED TRACKS

by Ella Sears-Pocock

The Inspired Tracks proposal is a live music venue and plant-based restaurant with a rooftop bar and music listening spaces in the derelict King’s Cross Thameslink Station on Pentonville Road. As climate change is not far away from becoming irreversible, the newly proposed programme aims to help consumers reduce the greenhouse gas emissions caused by food production by housing a plant-based restaurant during the day. It is becoming more common for popular artists to look for a more intimate place to perform live for their fans and provide them with a completely different experience from an arena show as a start or end to their world tours or to begin promotions for their recently released albums. The proposed venue provides precisely this; a unique experience for fans and an iconic space for the performer. The rooftop space is a reinvention of the traditional record shop atmosphere or 60s listening booth experience of hearing a new album in an acoustically unique space, with no distraction from everyday life.
