My garden aims to address the complex interplay between architecture, political issues and natural di-sasters. The project defi nes new approaches to the reconstruction of buildings and urban fabric dam-aged by unpredictable and largely uncontrollable forces of both human and natural origin. The proj-ect seeks to offer a form of “Architectural healing” to the wounded city. Utilizing the remnants left be-hind by destructive events, the project seeks to re-claim sites of exploitation, particularly the heritage buildings demolished by the Construction Mafi a. In a city obscured by layers of dust, confusion, and urban chaos resulting from constant unplanned destruction and construction, Alexandria has lost its identity as a living organism. The garden proposed in this project intends to revitalize the city by reintroducing life, pro-viding accommodation, and green spaces to the community. Through this endeavor, the project aims to restore a sense of belonging and connection, fos-tering a renewed relationship between the city’s in-habitants and their environment. My project not only seeks to heal the physical scars of the city but also to address the social and environmental aspects. By creating a harmonious and resilient urban environ-ment, the project aspires to empower the community, foster a sense of belonging, and contribute to the overall well-being and prosperity of Alexandria and its inhabitants.
