RE-GROOVED

by Lily Thompson

Located in Dalston, I have designed a live/workspace for my maker. Using plastic waste my maker will create vinyl records. I aimed to create an atmosphere that represents music, but also the process of my maker. My main inspiration for the project, is from the grooves found on a vinyl; the tiny details show the layering of lines that forms the music. I want to create a space that shows creativity, to represent the flow of music and how music makes you feel, as well as the fun music can hold as an activity. Through this I aim to attract all generations of the diverse community in Dalston and add to the vibrant music culture within the area.
