THE CARDBOARD PAVILION & THE TALES OF THE COLOURFUL CIRCUS

by Sairah Rahman

One of the projects is The Carboard Pavilion showcases the potential of recycled cardboard as a disaster-proof building material. Visitors are invited to witness the strength and resilience of cardboard constructions. They can create their own cardboard buildings, which will be assembled by the laboratory staff after experimentation. The project addresses climate-related concerns, particularly earthquakes, by utilizing the abundance of broken pieces. By reconstructing buildings with recycled cardboard in different geometrical shapes, the pavilion symbolizes the process of rebuilding and reusing materials. The second project that’s shown is the Tales of the Colourful Circus revolves around the artwork of Liliana Robins, my client. The focus is on showcasing her unique art style, where she becomes a living paintbrush to depict the process of creating art rather than just the final outcome. The objective is to educate people about the beauty of art through Liliana Robins' captivating performances. To achieve this, I proposed an interactive exhibition where attendees can engage with her performances, learn from the exhibition, and even experiment with the techniques employed by Liliana Robins. The exhibition encompasses various activities related to her performances and delves deeper into specific materials, as outlined in the portfolio.
