This project navigates a bleak environment when rising air pollution and returning smog renders major cities? like ?London uninhabitable?. ? Semester 1 looked into the not-so-distant future? and was focused on reversing environmental damage employing air-filtration in? ?architecture?, ?however this semester?, ?I look even further ahead?, ?as air quality recovers and smog clears?, ?people return in small? ?settlements dispersed in green areas along London’s rivers?. As these settlements begin to form, creating new materials isn’t an option, so they must look out into the neighbouring urban space to rebuild with the remnants of abandoned London. My program focuses on the procurement, trade, and governance of these materials, making it a hub for not only sharing goods, but knowledge about new practises that can be developed within.
