TRAVEL & TIME

My project will involve upgrading the existing train station of Southend-on-Sea and its car park by improving the circulation conditions with rest areas and aesthetics. It is therefore a food market with small shops and restaurants that will not only upgrade the station, but also give local people the opportunity to showcase their products and boost the local economy which is at a low compared to the rest of England. As the history of the station dates back a long time, I decided to respect its historical value and keep the construction of the station as it is without changing it. In this way the archeologists of the future will discover what we ''bury'' today by travelling through time. The users will be the travellers and passengers of the station who come from any part of the world as well as the locals of the region. They not only use the station for its main use, but also advertise their products there. Furthermore, it can be considered a place of recreation and entertainment that will attract new people.
