THE RESURRECTION OF AL MAX

The project aims to tackle this location’s environmental and social issues. Reviving a sense of livelihood back into the location bringing function into Al Max again by creating a floating garden of different spaces starting with the fisherman markets (a walk-through fish market) down to the garden pods (multifunctional spaces) and lastly the relief station (fisherman’s docking station). The floating garden is integrated with water vegetation that helps extract pollution from the canal and algae for the fish. Including oil filtration systems located beneath the floating piers and canal, reducing the content of toxic waste pushed into the sea through the canal.
