THE OCEAN UP-CYCLED PROJECT

by Hannah Dollond

The Ocean upcycled project in Leigh-on-Sea is a sustainable proposal for the local community, fishermen, and tourists. It features a seafood restaurant and a factory providing workshops for creating bio-plastic from waste products. The factory and workshop space will tackle waste generated by the nearby fishing industry, while promoting a circular economy. The project’s significance lies in its ability to create an environmentally friendly system while preserving the natural beauty of the area. Its goal is to celebrate the sea and the surrounding ecosystem.
