MARBLE ARCH FOOD EXCHANGE

The Food Exchange Market Square places its main emphasis on the existing Hard Rock hotel building. It aims to create a cultural civic space for the local people of Oxford Street to congregate in and come together as a community. The project has a large prominence on the surrounding buildings which anchor this square. These buildings take up new homes for Oxford Street as well as educational/health/cultural amenities associated with food and health. Furthermore, Marble Arch has been identified as being a gateway point, the proposed square therefore serves as a key precedent for other nodal points of London
