TACTILE WONDER

by Rwzhan Kader

Tactile Wonder is an art gallery and workshop facility for the blind and visually impaired that is situated on a 400-year-old site that formerly supplied clean water to London. The gallery is a place where visitors can interact with art by touch; it has 3D tactile replicas of historic artworks and sculptures, as well as art created by blind artists. The site is divided into five zones, the first of which is the entry, where the sensory levels of smell, sound, and touch are at their height to lure people into the galleries, and as you walk through the spaces, the sound, smell, and touch alter depending on where you are.
