THE HONEY PROJECT

The Honey Garden is a work – Life project that provides a temporary work and accommodation. The project can be divided into 3 zones, working space, living space and the garden. The living space contains the sleeping structure, WC area and refectory, the workspace is the lab, and garden is home for the bees and various plants and trees. There is just under 1000 beehives on site. The sleeping structure was the first to be designed in this project, it inspired by spider webs, the rest of the project followed the same structural language of elevated boxes with I-beams hanging 15m above the garden. the projects’ site is in the city, honeybees who produce honey in the city gain high immune system and help monitor air pollution in cities, as well as provide sting therapy, bee venom contains several active molecules such as peptides and enzymes that have advantageous potential in treating inflammation and central nervous system diseases, such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
