EMBRACING 2 EXHALE

My design aims to curate a space that caters to women that are victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse. The women’s centre, Embracing 2 Exhale, will ensure facilities enable women to fill empowered, safe, and relaxed. All will be created with the assistance of the particular arrangement of color, material, light, and space. The chosen site for my design proposal is the pre-existing HMP Holloway Prison, Parkhurst Rd, London, N7 ONU. In response to the master-plan application put forward, by Peabody Trust, that plans to create residential homes. My proposal brings the idea of a women’s centre to not only serve the existing community but also show homage to the historical heritage of the site. The interior design will be set out to meet sustainable specifications. Through this project, there will be exploring a predominant material that not only meets sustainable needs but curates warm and inviting space for women and children.
