The site is mostly residential, and there are two shops available on the site. Residents do not have enough access, and the closest shopping centre is Thamesmead Town Centre, which takes 19 minutes by walk and 14 minutes by bus. The redevelopment project will change the design of the existing structure to give it a better shape to complete t the semi-circular design. Most of the buildings on the site have the same type of design, so that can give a different character to the area and create better connectivity to engage the residential area around the site and not be isolated, and all residents in Thamesmead East can use the facilities that will become available in the area. There are two schools close to the site, and young people can also enjoy the activities in the community centre. Site A is the Community Centre which will have activities such as exercises, training courses, social events , youth clubs ,gardening clubs or parties. Site B is the café and library space, there are not café and accessible library in the area so that will be useful for students and others who needs spend their time at the library or café . Site C 1 will be mixed use of residential and commercial there are ground level stores and top level will be residential. the stores are grocery shops, post office and pharmacy which are basic needs for residents. the spaces behind the community centre and site C which are backyard of the current site will be turn in to playground for public use as people and young residents are complaining about not having good quality and facilities in their local green spaces. Site C 2 has an extension to be align with the C1 building and the extended part will be an indoor glass garden ,seating spaces and the indoor space will designed with plants and people can use that space and spend their times during winter and use indoor space due to the weather conditions. rest of the building will be residential .
