RESONANCE: HARMONISING THE THEATRE DISTRICT.

Resonance: Harmonising the Theatre District. This architectural project, situated in the heart of Antwerp’s vibrant Theatre District, redefines the relationship between sound, space, and nature. Through specialised acoustical analysis, I have designed a series of performance and rehearsal spaces where Resonance explores the essence of sound as a tangible entity, offering visitors an immersive journey into the physicality of sonic experiences. These dynamic spaces seamlessly integrate with the existing market canopy, infusing the bustling marketplace with the enchanting melodies of art and culture. Enveloped by gardens and strategically placed trees, the design harnesses the natural elements to shape and diffuse sound, creating a harmonious symphony that resonates throughout the district, transforming it into a truly enchanting and immersive sonic landscape.
