Tabatha is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology at Westminster where she has taught for 14 years. With a plethora of industry experience as a practicing Architectural Technologist, she established her own studio in 2005. Her research focuses on passive design and technical solutions, embedding inclusivity into AT education and practice, and timber construction in medium and high-rise residential buildings. She leads the first year of the course.

Having worked in sustainability for fifteen years, Tessa now leads on design and technical for the Development Department of a large London based Housing Association. She is passionate about supporting students to explore sustainability as they become active participants in the world of Architectural Technology.

Jamie Ogilvie

j.ogilvie@westminster.ac.uk

Jamie is an Architectural Technologist, alumni of the course, and recipient of the CIAT GLR Gold Medal Award 2018. He has worked for a number of years within the UK residential design sector and brings up to date technical skills and knowledge to the studio in first and third year.

AT1 students undertake 6no. 20 credit modules at Level 4 across architecture and construction, including Design Principles, Design Practice, Technologies of Architecture, Building Science, Construction Technology and Project Procurement. Students were introduced to the design development process through a live project for a Children’s Hospice in Kent involving research into accessible design and enivornmental testing of passive daylighting strategies through model making.
