CENTRIPETAL EXPANSION

The idea has been developed after an analysis of the internal/external flip in historical houses. Given the subject of my study being gathering places, I chose to flip the idea towards the exterior. Where typical squares are always enclosed by building, my proposal makes the square explode from the building outwards like in the movement of C.D. Friedrich’s painting ‘The Wreck of Hope’.
