REGAINING CATFORD'S CULTURE : CATFORD ART MUSIC & PERFORMANCE SCHOOL

My final year project is a culmination of tactile, abstracted, and colourful architecture that stemmed from an artistic language introduced in semester one and refined in semester two. Through researching Catford’s historic and contemporary culture, the new performance school and cultural centre has been designed to give back to a diverse and rich community that was previously struggling. Offering a placemaking building that will draw visitors to the town centre and put Catford back on the map.
