The “Up in the slopes of the Mount Parnitha: Forest Healing Residence” finds its existence in Greece in the area affected by the catastrophic wildfires of August 2021. It sits on the edge between Thrakomakedones, a suburban area to Athens city centre, and the shrinking forest acting as a metaphoric barrier between the expansion of the settlement and nature. It seeks to negotiate a balanced co-existence of those whilst accommodating civic, educational and treatment programmes. "...The growing constellation of uncertainty jostling humanity claims my legs... What is a future with no acres of pine trees to cover a seaside settlement? What stands between us and renewal?" Ojo Taiye “Up the slopes of mount Parnitha”
