COFFEE ROASTERS

by Sarah Saedan

The foundation of the model elaborates division. The concept model was made to manifest the life of the coffee bean from the very start to the finish line. The containment of 2 groups of coffee beans with a space in the middle which resembles the process, shaped the idea of division. The start, the middle, the result can resemble in numerous ways. Taking the idea and applying it to real-life sheds light on the distribution of spaces. Considering the spaces needed for the roaster and the staff working around it, the coordination of the building is a clinic like. In pursuance of the clinical coordination, there should be warmth and comfort so the visitors would feel welcomed. After studying the concept a decision has been made to follow the idea of proportion, bright colour, crisp shape and coziness combining them all to start of the design of the building.
