THE POLAR WIND PARK

by Charlotte Grasselli

Climatic change is arguably the greatest challenge faced by our generation. However, one of the biggest hurdles standing in our way is the lack of comprehension and understanding of the issue within the population. The Polar Wind Park seeks to overcome this problem, through a series of interventions which allow us to interact and experience the jet stream and high winds on the ground. This program is carried out through a network of Tropospheric Kites located along the Arctic Circle which together monitor the high winds and jet stream movements, collating vast swathes of data which is relayed back to the ground and archived through the Tropospheric Wind Tapestry.
