LAYERS OF THE LONDON WASH HOUSES

The inspiration behind the proposal is the layered facade of the original London Wash houses together with its rich history. The layered facade is a result of the many functions the building has served throughout time which has left it with its current unique design.

These models are a snapshot of a study that was done to experiment on various layering combinations that could be used in order to achieve the same effect as the unique facades of the London Wash Houses by using materials with various opacity, changing positions and dimensions.
