The Neapolitan suspended coffee tradition is a custom that has been handed down over time as an expression of altruism or more commonly to celebrate good news or reward a fate that on that day proved particularly generous. The coffee institute: A socio-economic commentary using the Marxist approach to build spaces, ignite trade and create a hybrid for the lived experience. As the “lived experience and its expression” adds economic value. The project suggests moments that subvert from the conventional ideologies of tourism and economics by creating a hybrid between dwellings and warehouses to form an institute that houses a suitable environment for fair trade whilst celebrating the collective. Expressing altruistic gestures manifested in fair trade.
