PECKHAM WIG SHOP

A design for Ghanaian wig maker from the LGBTQ community - making and selling bespoke wigs for drag artists. The building functions as a store, workshop, bar, and performance space. The design reflects both the theatrical and luxurious side of the maker’s work through high-end wig displays A 'catwalk' route extending through the building, across the street to the opposite courtyard, elevates from the ground to a first floor viewing area. Painted in vibrant red it guides visitors through the experience, something beautiful and functional incorporated within the surrounding area of Peckham.
