THE PECKHAM RENOVATION PROJECT

The project aims to let the regeneration of Peckham happen from Peckham by Peckham to Peckham. By using renovation and construction waste, the community can, through workshops and labour, remake the old fabric of the area into new terrazzo-like materials, which will be used to make furniture and decorations like tables and coasters. Architecturally the building is trying to create a space, in which 'finished' is not assumed. The building is supposed to feel 'in process' and 'made as you go'. The construction is based on the existing building and then rearranging the bricks into rooms where needed.
