A HOUSE BEHIND

Matthew Barney’s body of work ranges from sculptures, to drawings, films , live performances and so on… From a very young age he has shown an extrovert approach to his art, but when his rapidly growing fame started to make people more and more curious about himself as a person, he never openly talked about the private aspects of his life. He always preferred to let his works express his ideas. From this came the concept of a house “hidden” behind two billboards, separating it from the prying eyes of the train passengers while also creating a surface for his works to be exposed.
