MOMENTS OF INTROVERTED EXPOSURE

by Marina Ioannou

Moments of Introverted Exposure is a Folly-Park project which aims to force interactions between two occupants who dispute the idea of living together; Drag-Queen-Dede and Hikikomori Alex. To blend this dispute, the children of Drew Primary School are incorporated thoroughly in these ‘moments’ created by each folly on-site. The Folly of Living is designed to force each occupant to enter the other’s private space, whilst the remaining follies; the Folly of Dressing, Writing, and Arts, combine the occupants’ day-to-day activities with elements of play and fun experimentation. Using tunnels and passages only large enough for children, private and intimate spaces are naturally formed, resulting in beautiful moments of exposure between the children and occupants.
