My civic centre aims to bring together the residents, both human and animal, to encourage a ‘Healthy New Town’ that adapts to the seasons and encourages mental, physical and environmental health. Residents can visit to swim in natural and manmade waters, take part in ecotherapy and track the wildlife they see via an app, which then gets collected by the National Biodiversity Network. Behind the scenes the data will be used to gain information about the patterns and effects of biodiversity in order to give a deeper insight into the unique ecosystem at Ebbsfleet. The residents are brought together by caring for their community and what makes the community possible.
