BIOFUEL MAR&CC

by Ian Lei

The Biofuel Micro-Algae Research & Community Centre (BMARCC) on Hackney Wick presents a unique opportunity for new energy development and community area for the entire area and residences. It will become, in effect, the heart of Hackney Wick lifestyle.
Hackney Wick is uniquely positioned close to Olympic Park, which is a well established area During the 2012 Olympic game. After several years of the Olympic game, Hackney Wick finally starting to develop and create gentrification. Hackney Wick has very interesting history and memorable key role during industrial revolution, however presently it is lacking a heart and place to connect people – in this case this is my intention that my project will fulfil this function and breathe fresh life into an cultural diversity community.
