This design proposal is a modular form to allow adaptability in the present and future use. It has been designed as an innovation centre for creative businesses as a start-up hub. The levels consist of a mixture of public and private spaces. The main environmental addition sees the creation of garden spaces across all levels throughout the internal spaces and the façade. The timber frame structure allows for the modulation of the office spaces while also acting as a shading system to reduce solar gains. This allows for the garden voids to be created on the façade that blends in with the transitional spaces to allow for controlled ventilation directly from the green spaces orientated away from street pollution to create a cleaner air source and visual comfort. Using FSC timber for the framework and modular units helped with Carbon sequestration through embodied and stored processes.
