THE LADJ LY THEATRE

The Ladj Ly Theatre is an immersive theatre that frames the relationship between architecture and the people. Based in a culturally rich area of East London, Brick Lane, this theatre aims to allow for the local community to not only get involved but be an engrained part of the architecture and experience. An opportunity for them to tell their stories through expression and performance. Using a drone as a design tool has allowed me to create an architectural language that represents the memory of Robin Hood Gardens, whilst forming an entirely new architectural experience. Where people will continue to build on the memories that were there before them.
