PECKHAM COMMUNITY SPACE FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN

From trips to Peckham it was apparent that the area is not clean with a lot of rubbish around the place. I decided to combine the issue of ecologically safe battery disposal and the area’s problem with litter into the programme of the building project. The proposed building is a community space, where parents can leave their children while at work or can wait for them in the upstairs cafe. It houses group activities, as well as a playroom for children to socialise and play. The materials derived from the battery recycling are used in the construction of the building.
