SPUN WATER

My project seeks to merge the process of manufacturing natural yarn from pineapple leaves with a serene co-working, exhibition and retail experience. Locally sourced pineapple yarn is used to create clothes made from this innovative bio-material. The proposal seeks to encourage the advancement of sustainable materials technologies and open up a wider market for them within the Peckham community. A space for selling the manufactured products is combined with a larger collaborative space which enables young creatives in Peckham to work and develop their own items.
