ALGAE CREEK HYBRID FOREST -(ALTERNATIVE RENEWABLE SOURCE OF ENERGY)

by Ramzi Ramzi

This project explores an alternative way of producing a clean source of energy and self-sufficient farming, the project transferred an abandoned industrial site into a productive forest landscape and maintained and foraged the biodiverse forest. it proposes an experimental agricultural belt at the abandoned Coryton refinery site. (as part of group work), this plot of the site will propose a radically different approach to sustainability issues from that usually offered by contemporary design culture, through a huge network of algae canopies that begins with the production of biodiesel from algae and the residual biomass which is used as a cattle feedstock.
