INTER:WILD

The Interdisciplinary Dales Institute is a pioneering research and higher education facility. This partnership between Imperial College London, Leeds Arts University, and Chrysalis Arts Development combines technical and creative expertise with a community-driven sustainable focus, in a building designed to facilitate collaboration across disciplines between students, researchers, and faculty. This linear campus is raised above the landscape to protect its ecology, and incorporates different architectural strategies along each elevation. It features research labs, a student village, and community spaces along its length, with external circulation route providing a sheltered journey through this site which inspires an incentivises sustainable solutions from its resident researchers.
