Arcobaleno (meaning 'rainbow' , in Italian language) is a concept of an existing store given and transformed into an immersive experience. The idea of my proposal started as an experiment of materials, discovering how fabric can be hard and glass can be soft. So, how can a soft material (fabric) be hard, and a hard material (glass) can be soft? By experimenting different options, fabric turned into a hard material by getting pulled, creating tension; as well as glass turned into a soft material by layering diagonally across the site and using different colours, creating atmosphere and flow. Furthermore, glass became soft by hanging against the ceiling colourful acrylic tubes, which represents the idea of reaching in correlation with my client’s idea of ‘childish fantasy’.
