Archaeological Dig, Peckham. To start this semester, we chose a site once occupied by a terraced house and garden. The site was in Peckham, south London and the students were to imagine an Archaeological dig taking place. The students were to design the facilities for this to happen and to design an exhibition space where what had been discovered could exhibited. The history of Peckham was well described by Benny O’Looney one of the contributors to a day long discussion on Peckham arranged by Richa Muchia. We limited the discoveries the students could find to the 18th century.
