The stone walls of the building are used to represent the past. Gold was minded in the past and only the wealthy owned gold. Similarly, in the past buildings were made from mainly stone. The glass walls represent the current world. Today gold is recycled and decrees in minding. Also, modern buildings are made from mainly glass. Therefore, there is a use of stone and glass to juxtapose between the use of gold in the past and today.
